RainMaking Oasis currently offers two eLearning programs to law firm clients:


      • “Effective Networking to Build Your Practice” for Attorneys

         (LAUNCH THE DEMO)


These two programs, the first in a series we will be developing, capitalize on the compelling benefits of eLearning training for busy lawyers and law firm staff. According to learning experts, information is dispersed and learning results most effectively when people can read, hear and see it simultaneously. The multi-media aspects of eLearning products capitalize upon the opportunity to present material that the learner can more easily and better retain. And while not a substitute for live training, it does offer the benefits of convenience, cost effectiveness, flexibility and efficiency.

 

About Our eLearning Programs
Our eLearning programs combine the visual and auditory components of learning using multiple media: a recorded video presentation in which viewers see and hear the presenter and a PowerPoint of highlighted points which they can read simultaneously. The eLearning program is delivered on a CD to be downloaded and housed on the firm’s intranet. Once downloaded, it can be accessed by any employee who has access to the Internet, in or out of the office. Each program is broken into a series of 10 to 20, three to five minute modules which can be viewed one at a time or all at once. At any time, the viewer can stop a slide and move backward or forward, controlling the timing and amount of learning in each viewing. Since it is housed on the Internet, the learner can access the program anytime and anywhere.

From the law firm stand-point, RainMaking Oasis eLearning programs allow you to offer training to multiple employees and lawyers at any given time. While not a substitute for live, on-site training, eLearning is an excellent way to supplement live training, offer training to those unable to attend the live training, provide interim training to those who have joined the firm since the live, on-site training was done and facilitates the use of the course as a refresher from time to time. eLearning programs are:

      • Cost-effective: While not a substitute for live training, eLearning provides
         effective training without incurring the cost of outside speakers, travel and/or
         outside program costs and the lost billable/productive time associated with
         longer or off-site programs. A single license provides training for an unlimited
         number of users during a two-year period.

      • Convenient and Flexible:  Lawyers and staff can view the course when it is
         convenient, from any computer at the office, at home or while traveling.
         They also can access the program in segments, stopping and starting as their
         schedules dictate. This eliminates the need to reserve single, longer time
         blocks and also the need to schedule meetings and videoconferences at a
         time when everyone must attend at the same time.

      • An Ongoing Resource: Either as a supplement or follow-up to live training,
         eLearning can be used as a review tool to help reinforce and refresh program
         concepts after an initial course is taken. Lawyers and staff can run through the
         program in its entirety or view only those modules that the learner has a
         particular question about. 


About the First Two Programs

Networking for Lawyers:  Networking is essential for professional success. But counter to what many lawyers fear most about it, networking is not about wading into a large sea of faces, handing out business cards and hoping to land a client upon first meeting a contact. This program walks lawyers through the essence of effective networking which is about building long-term relationships over time that are mutually beneficial. It will debunk the myths and provide practical tips for identifying key contacts, nurturing relationships, setting goals for various networking events and interactions and developing an effective “elevator speech.” Every lawyer should be developing a meaningful network – this training program will guide them toward the right strategies to maximize their relationships with colleagues, clients, referral sources, prospects and former classmates. (This program is approximately 30 minutes long.)


Customer Service for Support Staff:
  Law firm clients demand first class service. They also appreciate firms that can deliver this in a seamless and collaborative fashion.  Often, secretaries have as much contact with external firm clients as the lawyers do, but they also must work with many people internally to be truly effective in their jobs. This program walks support staff through many strategies for improving their service skills and approaches to clients, lawyers and paralegals and to other colleagues in the firm upon whom they depend to produce first class work product and service. (This program is approximately 50 minutes long.)
